With a background in music, Sofia started practicing yoga at the age of 13. She did her first yoga teacher training in India after graduating from school at 19 years old. Since then practicing and teaching yoga has been a huge part of her life. Today Sofia is a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practitioner and been practicing with numbers of well-known Ashtanga teachers including Sharath Jois at KPJAYI in Mysore, India. Sofia's been teaching workshops and retreats in different parts of the world. The past 5 years she's been teaching regular classes in Stockholm and hosted two Mysore yoga-programs.

About YogaShala Blidö
This cozy and peaceful retreat center is owned by Päivi Seppä who is the mother of Sofia Soori. Together they built a yoga shala from scratch out of organic materials and is located in the forest by their summer house. The shala has 13 windows overlooking the beautiful Swedish forest and a sauna heater (yes, hot yoga classes available and meditations with fireplace).
Close to the yoga shala are two main houses with two bedrooms in each for retreat members to stay at. The garden is nice and big and in summer times we grow our own organic vegetables which we serve at the retreat meals too. There is also a possibility to bring a tent and camp at the retreat area if you want to stay even closer to nature.
The ocean is close by and we often go for a swim after a sweaty yoga class.
